A few years ago our family doctor closed his business unexpectedly. We were left with no access to our childrens' medical files when we needed information in a hurry, and had to pay a significant amount just to get access to the details we needed. I wish I had been able to keep my own record of my children's health data in a program such as steadygrow. Linda, mother of 2 girls. July 2 2008
Kate. Mother of 2 teenage boys. June 25 2007 Last year we took our teenage daughter to a specialist because we thought she was becoming anorexic. The problem was we had no record of what her weight had been over the years, and neither did our family doctor, so it was impossible to know if she had lost much weight or not. The steadygrow program is a very simple tool to use to keep track of childrens' weight and it would certainly help other parents avoid the trap that we fell into. I like the idea of having a set email reminder to check and record everyone's weight on a regular basis. Debbie. Mother of 2 teenage girls. April 20 2007. Dear Felicity I just want to say how much Steadygrow has helped me and my 15 year old daughter. I signed up to steadygrow as I noticed that she was going through a stage of losing weight. Through steadygrow I have been able to easily and quickly monitor her weight loss, put in notes about her doctors appointments, what she has been eating, and even information from her school. This has given both of us a picture of what is happening. It has allowed me to feel that I have some control over the situation as I have the right information to give to the doctor when she visits, and it has also allowed Anna and I to have transparency about the true situation and discuss it openly. This allows us to manage the situation together. The thing that I really like about it is that it only takes me a few minutes each week to fill in the data and offers a huge peace of mind, and because it is on the internet I can do it from work or home. It is without doubt the best spent money in a long time. I hope other mums get the same benefit I have. Regards and thanks again. Kathy, mother of 4. April 11 2006
